Requirements and Responsibilities

Planned Gift Manager - Higher Ed. develops and manages a planned giving program for a college or university that generates donor interest. Responsible for identifying and cultivating potential planned gift donors. Being a Planned Gift Manager - Higher Ed. prepares and delivers presentations. Creates and develops marketing materials and communication strategies to entice potential donors. Additionally, Planned Gift Manager - Higher Ed. ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Planned Gift Manager - Higher Ed. manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Planned Gift Manager - Higher Ed. typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
