Policy Processing Specialist I is responsible for modifying, updating, and processing existing policies and claims to reflect any changes in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance. Evaluates information from application for completeness, accuracy, and policy requirements. Being a Policy Processing Specialist I responds to questions from customers, processes payments, issues premium notices, and enters billing/account changes. May cancel policies for late or no payment of premium. Additionally, Policy Processing Specialist I requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Policy Processing Specialist I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
