Requirements and Responsibilities

Power Trader II is responsible for facilitating the purchase and sale of energy. Monitors energy supply levels, reports surpluses or shortages, and conducts market analysis to identify fluctuations in cost and availability of power sources. Being a Power Trader II manages risk through hedging strategies and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a solid understanding of energy trading markets and trading practices. Additionally, Power Trader II requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Power Trader II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Power Trader II typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
