Requirements and Responsibilities

Power Trader III is responsible for facilitating the purchase and sale of energy. Monitors energy supply levels, reports surpluses or shortages, and conducts market analysis to identify fluctuations in cost and availability of power sources. Being a Power Trader III manages risk through hedging strategies and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a solid understanding of energy trading markets and trading practices. Additionally, Power Trader III requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Power Trader III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Power Trader III typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
