Provider Services Director
Provider Services Director directs the team responsible for providing customer service to healthcare providers within a network. Monitors the response to provider inquiries regarding benefits, claims, and services. Being a Provider Services Director analyzes the causes of provider inquiries and issues to identify areas for service improvement. Develops customer service strategies to improve service efficiency and control costs. Additionally, Provider Services Director oversees and reviews inquiry volume to manage workload. Ensures inquiries are responded to timely and in alignment with organizational procedures and standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Provider Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Provider Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
