Requirements and Responsibilities

Reservoir Engineer V is responsible for identifying oil and gas reserves and developing strategies to maximize recovery. Leverages engineering tools and principles to design and test new techniques or technology to improve reservoir performance and efficiency. Being a Reservoir Engineer V conducts reserve assessments and forecasts reservoir performance to assist with operational planning or expansion opportunities. Provides technical support and knowledge to optimize and maximize production and recommends improvements to equipment, strategies, or processes. Additionally, Reservoir Engineer V utilizes analytical models and simulations to determine optimal exploitation methods, design equipment, and evaluate drilling and depletion strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Reservoir Engineer V works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. To be a Reservoir Engineer V typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
