Requirements and Responsibilities

Rig Operator I operates rig equipment and tools in compliance with safety regulations and functional specifications. Assembles and prepares rig equipment for use and monitors and adjusts equipment as necessary. Being a Rig Operator I is responsible for pre-operational checks and post-operational servicing to prevent wear and ensure continuous operation. Maintains detailed records on activities, inspections, and maintenance in compliance with required regulatory standards. Additionally, Rig Operator I may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Rig Operator I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
