SCADA Senior Technician is responsible for installing, wiring, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) hardware, like RTUs (remote terminal units), PLCs, sensors, and transmitters. Troubleshoots communication failures, calibrates instruments, responds to alarms, performs repairs on-site, and conducts routine preventive maintenance. Being a SCADA Senior Technician often works on-site in industrial plants, water facilities, or energy fields to respond to immediate breakdowns. Typically requires an associate degree in in a technical field. Additionally, SCADA Senior Technician typically reports to a supervisor. The SCADA Senior Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a SCADA Senior Technician typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
