SCADA Technologist V is responsible for providing broader system integration, software configuration, and technical design to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and hardware. Configures Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software screens, manages data flows, integrates new software packages into existing layouts, and plans system upgrades. Being a SCADA Technologist V requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or similar field. May require formal certification or registration. Additionally, SCADA Technologist V typically reports to a manager. The SCADA Technologist V works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
