Senior Trader is responsible for the timely buying and selling of financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or currencies. Analyzes economic indicators, company performance, financial news, and price patterns to identify trading opportunities. Being a Senior Trader uses industry knowledge to determine the best trading strategy to optimize profit and mitigate potential losses. Ensures all operations adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, Senior Trader requires a bachelor's degree. Requires passing the FINRA SIE and Series 57 Securities Trader Representative exam and the applicable state license. Typically reports to a manager. The Senior Trader work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Senior Trader typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
