Solution Consulting Manager manages solution support activities provided to sales teams during the pre-sales phase consisting of product knowledge and solution development for a single product or product line. Oversees product demonstrations' design, preparation, and delivery to prospects, customers, and sales organizations. Being a Solution Consulting Manager ensures the most current product information and resources are available to support sales efforts. Coordinates with implementation teams to support solution development and develop strategies for a successful deployment. Additionally, Solution Consulting Manager may provide post-sales support and information to resolve customer problems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Solution Consulting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Solution Consulting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
