Requirements and Responsibilities

Technical Support Engineering Director directs and oversees the technical support function to troubleshoot issues and engineer solutions for an organization's products or systems. Evaluates and improves processes to gather technical requirements, identify and isolate issues, and deliver technical solutions. Being a Technical Support Engineering Director monitors customer concerns and technical issues to ensure timely and effective resolution and collaborates with stakeholders to fix root causes and enhance systems. Develops and monitors budgets to align with business objectives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and inventory levels. Additionally, Technical Support Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Technical Support Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Technical Support Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
