Requirements and Responsibilities
Trading Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of securities transactions on the trade floor. Manages the daily trade execution, clearing, and settlement processes. Being a Trading Operations Manager researches and resolves problems that occur during the trading process. Monitors business volume and ensures timely processing of orders. Additionally, Trading Operations Manager analyzes existing workflows to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Ensures all operations adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires passing the FINRA SIE, Series 24, General Securities Principal Qualification Series 57, Securities trader exams. Typically reports to a director. The Trading Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Trading Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
