Requirements and Responsibilities
Underwriting Assistant IV is responsible for providing support to the underwriting team. Performs administrative duties and may assist underwriters with the computation of rates and premiums. Being an Underwriting Assistant IV ensures that underwriting activities comply with all industry and governmental regulations. May assist in coordinating with field agents to collect or clarify information or decisions. Additionally, Underwriting Assistant IV requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Underwriting Assistant IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. To be an Underwriting Assistant IV typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
