Evaluates and analyzes inspection reports, location, risk, credit reports, and additional information to accept, decline, or renew an application. Being an Underwriting Supervisor - P&C utilizes and follows underwriting guidelines, rules, and standards. Determines appropriate premium rates and issues coverage. Additionally, Underwriting Supervisor - P&C may assist with analysis of large accounts. Ensures compliance with all industry and governmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager. The Underwriting Supervisor - P&C supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs.
