UX Design Manager manages a team of UX designers that create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences by understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations. Monitors user research and usability testing to guide development of wireframes, prototypes, and new features. Being a UX Design Manager requires knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, UX Design Manager typically reports to a director. The UX Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a UX Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
