Requirements and Responsibilities

Warehouse Management Director oversees and directs all warehouse operations, processes, and resources. Promotes continuous improvements to layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space to drive efficient operations. Being a Warehouse Management Director develops policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Additionally, Warehouse Management Director develops strong safety policies and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Warehouse Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Warehouse Management Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
