Water/Wastewater Engineer II designs and develops water and wastewater systems to address water resource management, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management while ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance. Designs water supply, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management systems and infrastructure. Being a Water/Wastewater Engineer II prepares engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports. Ensures designs and projects comply with regulatory and environmental requirements. Additionally, Water/Wastewater Engineer II provides field support and oversight during construction and system operations. Conducts site investigations, inspections, and assessments to support project work. Coordinates with regulatory agencies and stakeholders on permitting and compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Water/Wastewater Engineer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
