We're seeing more natural disasters. Employers have to get people paid even in hurricanes, floods, and fires. If you're not sure you know what to do, here's a great checklist so you have a plan.

The ADA is a law about solving problems, not winning. The next time you get an accommodation request, spend some time talking to the person making the request to find out what would actually solve the problem and what the options are. Understand that the employee is the expert on what they need. People who don't have disabilities usually have no idea what it's really like too.

One of the biggest misconceptions about employment law (besides wrongful termination) is about what law applies when the company is based in one place and employees work in other places.

Make sure you regularly do DEI and pay equity audits to find any issues before they become problems. And don't base your big plans for innovation on what's already happened.
