DOL's AI Hiring Framework

The Department of Labor, along with some great help, has announced a 10 step framework for AI and Inclusive Hiring. Good for the DOL, They are thinking about risks of AI in hiring, getting input from groups representing people who may be harmed, and reminding employers that there are pros and cons in using AI assisted tools.

Pay Gap Reporting Coming the EU

The EU is taking a very big leap, although it is focused on gender pay gaps rather than race or other protected factors. The EU Pay Transparency directive is going to require employers to do pay equity audits and not only report the results,but also report why they pay people what they do.

Depression, Work, and Mushrooms

We want people dealing with depression to get effective treatment and feel better. It's good for them, for their families and friends, and for their employer. The problem is that federal drug laws are slow to keep up with state laws and medical research..
