Requirements and Responsibilities

Backend Development Director directs the development of scalable back-end solutions for server applications. Develops standard frameworks and processes to drive best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. Being a Backend Development Director collaborates with senior stakeholders to define functional specifications, project timelines and goals, and ensure development activities support business needs. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and new technologies to drive continuous improvement in development processes, capacity, and capabilities. Additionally, Backend Development Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Backend Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Backend Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
