Requirements and Responsibilities

Claims Adjuster III - P&C investigates, evaluates, and settles property and casualty claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages in accordance with policy terms. Inspects or reviews loss details, estimates, and supporting documentation to assess the extent of damage and exposure. Being a Claims Adjuster III - P&C determines coverage and liability by analyzing policy provisions, statements, and investigative findings. Negotiates settlements with claimants, attorneys, and vendors within established authority limits. Additionally, Claims Adjuster III - P&C establishes and maintains accurate reserves and documents all claim activity in the claims system. Ensures compliance with state regulations, fair claims practices, and company guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Claims Adjuster III - P&C work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
