Requirements and Responsibilities

Electronics Engineering Manager manages the design and development of electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within products, equipment, and machinery. Implements engineering procedures, testing protocols, and quality assurance standards to ensure optimal product performance and compliance. Being an Electronics Engineering Manager oversees circuit design, signal processing, and hardware integration for devices such as sensors, control systems, and communication equipment. Coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to understand requirements, resolve technical challenges, and support product lifecycle improvements. Additionally, Electronics Engineering Manager evaluates emerging technologies and provides technical direction for design enhancements and innovation initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Electronics Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Electronics Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
