Facilities Engineer II plans, designs, and maintains facility infrastructure and equipment to meet the needs of an organization. Utilizes CAD software and engineering principles to design and communicate specifications for facility modifications, new development, or equipment. Being a Facilities Engineer II analyzes specifications and requirements to establish facility plans and estimate design costs. Researches and sources the equipment and materials required for the facility, verifying specification requirements and adherence to budget allotment. Additionally, Facilities Engineer II maintains expert knowledge of building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance throughout all design activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Engineer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Facilities Engineer II typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
