Requirements and Responsibilities

Fast Food Assistant Manager assists in the management of operations at a fast food restaurant. Coordinates staffing, customer service, inventory control, cash reporting, employee training, and safety. Being a Fast Food Assistant Manager monitors product inventory levels, prepares forecasts, and orders ingredients and supplies as needed. Ensures compliance with food industry regulatory guidelines. Additionally, Fast Food Assistant Manager may recruit and train restaurant employees. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Fast Food Assistant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Fast Food Assistant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
