LAN/WAN Administrator is responsible for the settings, configuration and maintenance of LAN/WAN and related hardware/software. Provides troubleshoots pertaining to LAN/WAN to meet users' needs. Being a LAN/WAN Administrator takes initiative for the network security and systems upgrades. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, LAN/WAN Administrator typically reports to a head of unit/department. To be a LAN/WAN Administrator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
