Power Plant Operations Senior Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of a power generation plant. Monitors instruments to maintain and meet fluctuating consumer demand throughout the day. Being a Power Plant Operations Senior Manager develops preventative maintenance, emergency and operational plans and procedures. Monitors operations for efficiency and ensures that all applicable regulatory and safety requirements are followed. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Senior Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Power Plant Operations Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
