Requirements and Responsibilities

Project Engineer II - Construction provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. Reviews plans and other technical documents, answers questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project, and monitors costs and project progress. Being a Project Engineer II - Construction reviews and evaluates bidding documents, supervises construction progress and scheduling, and starts-up process systems/equipment or facilities for turning over to the owner's personnel. May develop cost estimates. Additionally, Project Engineer II - Construction requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Project Engineer II - Construction gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be a Project Engineer II - Construction typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
