Trader is responsible for the timely buying and selling of financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or currencies. Analyzes economic indicators, company performance, financial news, and price patterns to identify trading opportunities. Being a Trader uses industry knowledge to determine the best trading strategy to optimize profit and mitigate potential losses. Ensures all operations adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, Trader requires a bachelor's degree. Requires passing the FINRA SIE and Series 57 Securities Trader Representative exam and the applicable state license. Typically reports to a manager. The Trader occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Trader typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
