Biomedical Engineering Director directs, coordinates and governs all functions related to safety testing, repair, and maintenance of biomedical patient care equipment. Provides training and technical leadership to appropriate patient care personnel regarding equipment operations, standards, and maintenance. Being a Biomedical Engineering Director supports the equipment needs of all specialty areas including Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Respiratory Therapy, and others. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Biomedical Engineering Director typically reports to top management.
