• Job Description for Information Technology Senior Manager
  Manages the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Administers internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Oversees the analysis of business needs and selects IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. Develops detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems and assists with the planning of the organization's IT roadmap. Manages the IT strategy and roadmap to ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Plans and implements an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Allocates resources and oversees departmental budget to support and manage IT projects through the entire lifecycle. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
