• Job Description for Manufacturing Engineer Manager
  Manages the planning and design of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, and machining processes for a production facility. Implements policies and procedures to ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety requirements and quality standards. Collaborates with product design, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure products and processes are manufacturable and scalable. Establishes and maintains standard operating procedures, process documentation, work instructions, and process control plans. Investigates production issues to develop solutions that minimize downtime and prevent future occurrences. Evaluates facility machinery and tools to ensure optimal functionality, effectiveness, and reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
