Examines, analyzes, and interprets accounting and financial records to prepare reports and provide recommendations. Reviews tax implication calculations and develops strategies for minimizing liability. Stays current on federal, state, and local tax legislation to ensure compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
