THIS IS A FULLY QUALIFIED OPENING - Splicer (Cheshire, CT) The salary range for this position starts at $49.80 per hour and progresses in accordance with the union contract. The selected candidate must have successfully completed a progression program for Cable Splices and be a Fully Qualified Splicer. In addition, the selected candidate must possess a valid motor vehicle license and be qualified to obtain or maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and may be required and pass the CAST Test. Must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location for trouble call assignments. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions: Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work. Lead crew and represent the Company in absence of the Foreman. Effectively conduct pre-job briefings. Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution. Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others. Capable of operating a backhoe.
