We are looking for an energetic, smart Laser Operator. The successful candidate will operate a Coherent or IPG Laser, fabricating both stainless and aluminum plates. JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES Operation of a Coherent or IPG Laser Participate in Daily Continuous Improvement. Locate and open a fabrication program on the server. Perform a First Article Inspection. Loading and Unloading metal flats from a Coherent Laser.

General: Use of laser and water jet equipment to cut various materials ranging, not limited to, wood products, fiberglass, steel, aluminum, urethane, rubber, acrylics. Candidate must be flexible with schedule. Tasks: Ability to operate laser, milling, water jet cutting systems. Ability to use calibration tools to properly ensure machine & tool tolerances. Assembly of proprietary products from pre-cut materials. Ability to read blueprints and CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools. Lifting and handling of wood, metal pieces and tooling. Clean & maintain department equipment. Maintaining equipment preventative maintenance schedule logs. Required to understand and use safety equipment reflective of department. Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help. Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets in a timely manner.
