An account executive is responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. They focus on sales and may also be involved in creating marketing strategies. On the other hand, an account manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of client accounts and ensuring that their needs are met. They may also be involved in resolving any issues that arise.
