Plant assets, also known as property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), are long-term physical assets owned by an organization and used for operations or production, not for resale. Common plant assets include buildings, land, machinery and equipment, and furniture and fixtures. These assets are recorded on an organization‘s balance sheet at their historical cost and often depreciate over time.
