What does a CCMA do?

A certified clinical medical assistant (CCMA) assists physicians with clinical treatments and procedures, taking vital signs and medical histories of patients to prepare for exams. They also prepare exam rooms, order supplies, and perform routine clerical work such as completing forms and scheduling appointments. However, the primary focus of this role is on clinical tasks. To become a CCMA, certification is required, which involves completing a training program and holding a high school degree or GED certificate.
