Disciplinary actions are used by organizations to address employee misconduct in the workplace. The most common forms of disciplinary actions include verbal warnings, write-ups, delineating an improvement plan, suspension, and termination. These actions are taken when employees break company policies or engage in unprofessional behavior. Workplace impropriety, such as the use of improper language, offensive behavior, harassment, discrimination, and fraud, may also warrant disciplinary actions.
