While some flight attendants may work approximately 40 hours per week, their actual work hours can vary significantly depending on factors such as airline schedules, flight routes, and seniority. Many flight attendants have irregular schedules that include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, their work hours often include time spent on pre-flight preparations, safety checks, and post-flight duties, which may not be counted as flight hours. Consequently, although a standard workweek might be around 40 hours for some, many flight attendants work more or less than this amount, with their schedules often being unpredictable and requiring flexibility.
