Who owns Whataburger?

Whataburger, founded in 1950 by Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton, was once a family-owned business but in 2019, BDT Capital Partners acquired the majority ownership stake. The Dobson family still holds a minority ownership position in the company. The restaurant has grown to 850 locations across ten states with an annual revenue of around 3 billion and 43,000 employees.
