The AP/AR Analyst I maintains and reconciles the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments. Analyzes accounts payable/receivable activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Being an AP/AR Analyst I generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Utilizes AP/AR data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost savings. In addition, AP/AR Analyst I investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and collections or payments. Analyzes customer credit history, determines credit risk, and recommends credit limits and payment terms. May recommend improvements to accounts payable/receivable processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being an AP/AR Analyst I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
