Job Description

The AP Operations Senior Supervisor maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Responsible for supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable function. Being an AP Operations Senior Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies. Prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-savings and relays the conclusions to management. In addition, AP Operations Senior Supervisor investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The AP Operations Senior Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as an AP Operations Senior Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
