The Cerner Certified Application Analyst Entry consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Being a Cerner Certified Application Analyst Entry requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. May be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. In addition, Cerner Certified Application Analyst Entry requires certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Cerner Certified Application Analyst Entry occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Working as a Cerner Certified Application Analyst Entry typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
