In addition, Diesel Engine Specialist II maintains maintenance logs according to requirements. Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures. May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Diesel Engine Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Diesel Engine Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
