Job Description for Classified Security Supervisor

Classified Security Supervisor leads a team in developing, implementing, and maintaining classified security programs and protocols in accordance with all relevant government standards and regulations for the management of classified information and materials. Ensures that staff, consultants, and visitors possess appropriate security clearances and handle documents and materials appropriately. Being a Classified Security Supervisor monitors access to, and security of, controlled facilities or information. Oversees projects to identify potential weaknesses or risks. Additionally, Classified Security Supervisor briefs and trains personnel on proper security procedures and protocols. Investigates any security incidents and identifies their potential harm to the program. Requires active government security clearance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Classified Security Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Classified Security Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
