Clinical Sales Liaison Salaries in the United States

Over the years, MSL teams have been made up of individuals with various scientific backgrounds including: sales reps, those with nursing backgrounds, those with various doctoral degrees or other clinical backgrounds.

These clinical experts will facilitate evidence-based practice and support the customer experience and commercial teams from pre-sale through post implementation by providing effective outcome-based education and training solutions.

Serve as a subject matter expert (Ultrasound) and technical liaison to the sales organization with the goal of strengthening technical capabilities of the team and customer relationships, while also driving business opportunities forward.

Although originally called Medical Science Liaisons by Upjohn, over the years and today, companies have used various names for the role including: Medical Liaisons, Medical Managers, Regional Scientific Managers, Clinical Liaisons, and Scientific Affairs Managers among others.
