Construction Technicians safely use a variety of hand and power tools along with machinery and equipment to install, maintain, and repair services for our customers. The Construction Technician completes construction tasks for the company’s copper and fiber optic plants while working to meet project deadlines successfully. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Safely operate equipment such as: trucks, tractors, mini-excavators, boring machines, trenchers, sneakers (vibratory plows), fiber blowers, forklifts, lawnmowers, and other equipment. Climb utility poles and lift equipment weighing up to eighty (80) pounds. (Training will be provided) Use a variety of hand tools and machinery including shovels, picks, and various power tools, to complete assignments in a safe and controlled manner.
