The Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Being an Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. In addition, Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as an Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
