Job Description

The Supervisor Budgeting and Financial Control manages the collection and analysis of data needed to develop the preliminary budget projections for revenues and expenditures in preparation of the final budgets. Oversees and facilitates the accounting analysis and review of expenditures and the preparation of operating budgets for departments and business units. Being a Supervisor Budgeting and Financial Control adheres to documentation requirements for audit and internal controls. Ensures the tracking and reporting of spending, revenue, and exceptions to budgetary limits are performed accurately and on schedule. In addition, Supervisor Budgeting and Financial Control utilizes tools and dashboards to support operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supervisor Budgeting and Financial Control supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as a Supervisor Budgeting and Financial Control typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
